Thank you Dragonfly Beauty

There’s something about Holly Beth’s Natural Luxury that I just find so charming.  Maybe it’s the photo of Holly Beth in her apron and the idea that someone real (and not a factory) is actually hand making these USDA certified organic products just for the customer.
Holly Beth’s is a southern institution.  When you ask women from the south what skin care products they use, someone always brings up Holly Beth’s Natural Luxury.
Inevitably, I am then told about “The Oil” aka The Hair and Body Silk.  The first time this happened, I googled it from my phone at a wedding I was so excited.
This organic argan and camellia oil concoction is used on your hair and body. Both oils are rich in anti-oxidants that block harmful UV rays and slow aging. The oil includes vetiver to encourage hair growth and rose for richness but what you smell is the intoxicating aroma of cocoa and peppermint oils.
It’s a multitasking oil (my favorites) that banishes dry skin patches while calming frizzy hair.
Price: $54
Ingredients: Camellia oleifera (Camellia) Seed Oil*, Argania (Argan) spinosa oil*, Mentha piperita (Peppermint) Oil*, Andropogon zizanioides (Vetiver) Oil.* *organic

One of my personal favorites is the Citrus All Over Cream.  I really think of it as a balm as contains no water so it has that consistency.  It leaves your skin seriously moisturized and is perfect for dry patches.
With essential oils of lime, bergamot, lemon, orange, and litsea cubeba (think a softer, sweeter lemon), it is a wonderfully heady citrus scent that I can’t seem to stop smelling.
Price: $25
Ingredients: Camellia oleifera (Camellia) Seed Oil*, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (organic sweet almond) Oil*, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil* , Beeswax*, Citrus Aurantium Bergamia (bergamot essential oil)*, Citrus Aurantifolia (Lime) Oil*, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (orange oil)*, citrus medica limonum (organic lemon) peel oil*, Litsea Cubeba (organic litsea Oil), Melaleuca Alternifolia (tea tree) Leaf Oil*, Lecithin (lecithin )* * organic
While it may have started as a Southern phenomena, now you’ll see Holly Beth’s in People, InStyle, and New Beauty Magazines. The secret is out.
