sunflower time

My sunflowers are starting to open. Native to the Americas, they can be traced back to 2600 B.C. One flower can have over 2000 seeds. Loaded with oleic and unsaturated fatty acids, Vitamins A, E & D, and sunflower oil is easily absorbed by the skin and good for dry, damaged and sensitive skin. You will find it in my face & neck elixir. The oil comes from the black seeds and snacks are from the striped seeds. Native American used dye made from the flower to paint their bodies for religious ceremonies. The Aztecs considered them a form of solar deity. sunflower
