Biscuits are definitely my comfort food; they remind me of growing up with my grandparents and eating biscuits and gravy. There is nothing better than sharing biscuits with friends and neighbors, especially when they contribute sausage :). The best biscuits are taking whatever is in the fridge or garden and throwing it in the batter. Rosemary is great with goat cheese and honey with anything! And of course rose petals and mint are always great.
This morning I made honey, apple and cheese biscuits. Mix below and bake at 375 for 12 minutes.
Wildflower honey (I put in about 3 tablespoons)
2 cups flour
3 tsp. baking powder
Dash of salt
5 tablespoons butter
1 chopped apple
1/3 cup milk
Herbed goat cheese (because it was in fridge 🙂
