dragonfly fun facts

This dragonfly reminds me of prehistoric car parts thrown together and if you look closely at this one on my jasmine, his body does resemble a carburetor of sorts.  They eat mosquitos and need warmth to fly so they are all over my steaming backyard. There are over 3,600 species of dragonflies which is utterly amazing and are found everywhere except Antartica. They date back 250 million years with the largest fossilized had a wingspan over three feet, that must have been a site for sore eyes.
