History of Festival

Inman Park Festival is this weekend! Every year on the last weekend in April, the streets around HollyBeth Organics’ studio come alive to celebrate one of Atlanta’s oldest neighborhoods – Inman Park. Starting in the 1970’s, the community came together to promote the area and attract newcomers with a lively jamboree of music, art, food, and entertainment. The festival has become a major event in Atlanta, attracting people from all over to the lively festivities.

Things to Do

Inman Park Festival is like no other. The entire community works together to put on one of Atlanta’s most exciting celebrations. The streets are turned into a giant artist market place, music venue, and food court. You will find the most unique handmade crafts, artwork, furniture, clothing, plants, trinkets, and so much more amongst a sea of live music, entertainment, and delicious food options (it is the only time of year I am allowed to have a funnel cake). You can also tour a selection of Inman Park’s oldest, most beautiful homes, dating back to the early 1900s. And of course, the crowd favorite Inman Park Parade. Full of crazy floats, amazing costumes, marching bands (including Atlanta’s favorite Feed & Seed Marching Abominables) and wild energy, this eclectic street party on wheels is not to be missed!

We Love Our Neighborhood

HollyBeth Organics is proud to call Inman Park home. We are so thankful to be a part of a community that celebrates life, love, and peace. See you at Festival!

Tips for Relaxing During the Work Week

Tips for Relaxing During the Work Week

It is almost the weekend – but not quite yet. There is still one more day of meetings, deadlines, errands, appointments, and obligations that demand your attention. By the time the weekend comes around, all of your energy has been zapped, and two days on the sofa with a movie marathon and some takeout sounds amazing, right? It’s an ongoing cycle of all work then all rest. Tired of being tired all weekend? Here are some ways to balance work with relaxation all week long.

Turn Off Your TV

We have all been behind that person in traffic with a “kill your TV” bumper sticker. Not the extent that I’m suggesting, but a few nights with the television turned off will give your brain some much-needed R&R. Give your mind a chance to recoup from sensory overload, and allow yourself to focus on something soothing, like a book or some music.

Get Physical

Sitting in an office chair all week can make anyone feel sluggish. Keep yourself energized by incorporating some kind of physical activity into your daily routine. I’m not preaching a 6:00am boot camp workout; I mean start your morning out with some good stretches or step away from your desk for an afternoon walk. Anything that gets you moving!

Have Fun

We all have things we are obligated to do; however, it is important to treat yourself with some time to do what you want to do. Catch up with some friends over dinner, check out that new movie, enjoy a good concert – whatever it is that puts a smile on your face (and rewards you for all that hard work you do).

Take Care of Yourself

Your physical health has an effect on your mental health. Take care of yourself! Just as your body benefits from pure, natural foods, go for clean, organic skincare products that will keep your skin balanced and hydrated. Check out HollyBethOrganics.com to discover skincare solutions that will keep you looking good and feeling good. One of my favorites is the Nourishing Body Oil. Just add a few drops to a hot bath for a spa-like moisturizing treatment!

Life is about balance. All work and no play . . . well, you know what I mean.

Happy Weekend – Let’s Go to Arabia Mountain

It is a beautiful Saturday afternoon here in Atlanta. The sun is shining, the sky is clear, and rumor has it the temperature is going to reach 64 degrees today. What a delightful surprise for the last weekend in January, especially since there was snow on the ground only a week ago.

Arabia Mountain

Time to take advantage of this fortuitous break from the cold and head outside!  And a day like today is perfect for a trip to Arabia Mountain. About 25 minutes outside of downtown Atlanta, this rock mountain’s unique topography hosts beautiful plant life, water formations, and landscapes that make you feel like you’re on another planet. This little piece of outer space has both bike and hiking trails, perfect for a full day of outdoor fun (and dogs are welcome, too!).

Wash Away the Dirt

After a day of navigating rocks, water, and hiking trails, you may be feeling a little sweaty and grimy. For those of us who are acne prone or have sensitive skin, sweat and oil can lead to a rash or breakouts. Wash the dirt away with HollyBeth Organics’ Cleansing Oil. Made with camellia, avocado, and lavender oils, this natural cleanser is antiseptic and antioxidant rich, healing and soothing while hydrating the skin. Calm skin irritations and knock out bacteria while infusing your skin with moisture.

No matter what you get into this weekend, make sure to give your skin some much-needed rest and relaxation. Every part of us – including our skin! – needs some time to unwind and regroup.

Have a great weekend!
